Abstract:The reduction kinetics of the FeO-CoO solid solutions (Fe 0.8 Co 0.2 O, Fe 0.7 Co 0.3 O, and Fe 0.6 Co 0.4 O) by hydrogen gas has been investigated using the thermogravimetric technique. Isothermal experiments were carried out in the temperature range 573 to 973 K. The activation energies for the reduction were calculated from the results of the isothermal experiments, and a typical value for Fe 0.8 Co 0.2 O solid solution was 65.9 kJ/mol. The activation energy values were found to be higher than the correspon… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
