Remarkable anti-breast cancer activity of ferrocene tagged multi-functionalized 1,4-dihydropyrimidines

Unusual anti-leukemia activity of nanoformulated naproxen and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

“…Human breast cancer cell line MCF7, human pancreatic cancer cell line MIA-PA-CA-2, human colon cancer cell lines HT-29, human leukemia cell line Jurkat and human ovarian carcinoma cell line A2780 were grown in tissue culture flasks in growth medium (RPMI-1640 with 2 mM L-glutamine, P H 7.4, 10% fetal calf serum, 100 µg/ml streptomycin, and 100 units/ml penicillin) at 37 °C under the atmosphere of 5% CO 2 and 95% relative humidity by employing a CO 2 incubator. The cells at sub confluent stage were harvested from the flask by treatment with Trypsin (0.05% Trypsin in PBS containing 0.02% EDTA) and placed in growth medium [1]. The cells with more than 97% viability (trypan blue exclusion) were used for cytotoxicity studies.…”
