Research Concerning the Kinetostatic Analysis of the Mechanism of the Conventional Sucker Rod Pumping Units

Abstract: It is well known that the bearings of the mechanism of the conventional pumping units are heavily loaded so that their design has to be accomplished very carefully. In this scope the values of the connection forces acting on these bearings has to be determined as accurately as possible. In the paper is presented the kinetostatic analysis of the mechanism of the conventional sucker rod pumping units, obtaining in this way the values of the connection forces in the joints and of the motor moment at the cranks sh… Show more

“…Establishing the variation of the angular acceleration of the cranks of the conventional sucker rod pumping units, which implies the determination of their dynamic response, is particularly important in assessing the operation of the entire pumping installation [1][2][3]. Obtaining high values of the angular acceleration of the cranks would reveal inadequate operation of the pumping unit, due to a poor balancing of the unit mechanism or due to the dynamics of the sucker rod string [4][5][6][7].…”

“…The dynamic analysis of the mechanisms used in various applications, many of them even in the oil field, is a subject of study that is always up to date [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. The problems that need to be solved in this case are generally of great complexity and have as aim finding of optimal solutions for the functioning of the mechanisms [8][9][10][11][12][13][14].…”

“…The analysis of the conventional pumping installations in order to improve their operation requires the completion of complex studies both on the level of the sucker rods pumping column and also concerning the surface equipment, especially the pumping unit mechanism [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. Regarding the mechanism of the pumping units, from the perspective of their dynamics, the study of the movement equation is extremely important for highlighting the dynamic response to the motor and resistant actions on the component elements [9][10].…”
