The Health Belief Model (HBM) approach posits that each individual shall consider health threats such as the Covid-19 outbreak as a serious problem and each individual must engage in preventive behaviors. Individual perceptions of health are the main factor for behavior change efforts so that individuals are willing to accept the conducted health promotion. This research aims to analyze the six dimensions of the Health Belief Model (HBM), which are perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to action and self-efficacy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing at the time of pre-research, during research, and post-research. Data collection is performed by observing, interviewing, and documenting. The result of the research is that the researchers find that the dimensions of the Health Belief Model which are most influential in the informant interview process are the cues to action and perceived severity dimensions.

Geoscience is a colonial science; its agenda was to survey and map landscapes in colonised nations which could be exploited to grow colonial empire's wealth at the expense of the local population. Natural hazard processes have been part of these landscapes, however their colonial legacy is sometimes neglected in discussions in how to live with them today. Former colonised nations' interactions with natural hazard processes are part of the legacy in geoscience that is ongoing. Geoscience's role in colonialism, interactions of colonial decisions and natural hazards with examples, and actions for the future will be explored.

Located between the tectonic plates of Asia and Australia, a zone of high tectonic activity on the Pacific Ring of Fire with a row of mountains and active volcanoes makes Indonesia one of the countries with the highest natural disaster risk in the world. One of the potential disasters that attract attention is the potential for megathrust in southern Java, which has the potential to cause a tsunami of up to 20 meters. Various disaster mitigation efforts were carried out, one of which was to explore disaster mitigation messages in local wisdom and rely on community leaders as bearers of mitigation messages. Using an exploratory case study method, this research seeks to see mitigation messages in local wisdom in Bayah, South Lebak. The role of community leaders is also observed in community-based disaster communication. As a result, it was found that many messages based on local wisdom had content on disaster mitigation and nature conservation. Community leaders have a strategic role as Key Opinion Leader in conveying disaster mitigation messages, both messages based on local wisdom and modern science, to the community.
