An experimental investigation of heat patchesAbstract: Rusting is a typical example for corrosion caused by oxygen. In many respects, rusting of objects (e.g. bikes) can be annoying. However, the company ALTAPHARMA uses this effect in heat wraps to obtain a positive therapeutic response. In this study, different experiments are shown where high school students can investigate the working principle of heat wraps and explore the corrosion effects of other metals.
