SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the population with dementia. Recommendations under the auspices of the Polish Psychiatric Association

Abstract: SARS-CoV-2 stanowi szczególne zagrożenie dla osób w wieku podeszłym oraz z wieloma schorzeniami towarzyszącymi. W przypadku osób żyjących z otępieniem przestrzeganie zaleceń sanitarnych oraz niezbędna fizyczna izolacja mogą mieć daleko idące negatywne konsekwencje związane z ograniczeniem kontynuacji dostosowanej do ich potrzeb opieki, wsparcia oraz leczenia.
