In the industrial revolution 4.0, global media is powerful agent that can be used to develop an ideology that ecological devastation is necessary-hiding interconnections between environmental and socio-cultural problems. This article proposed ecopedagogy is alternative educational approach that requires analysis of critical media, to determine ecological and social injustices that could be reversed to solve problems, as well as to promote democracy, more effective social movements, and assist in the political struggles of all people. Using the public sociology lens, this article explored how ecological issues constructed as public issue through eco-pedagogy within the processes of teaching and learning in high school sociology. This qualitative research supported by the content analysis technique. The sample includes the handbook of education for sustainable development in Indonesia, the Ministerial Regulation about implementation of the green-school or 'Adiwiyata' school, the development guidelines of environmental education content, and four documents curriculum of the high school sociology. This research found that the eco-pedagogues and their students must dialectically view socio-environmental devastation from the local and the global to understand complex socio-environmental oppressor/oppressed relationships. Among the most important findings is needed a model of teaching sociology that rooted on ecopedagogy for developing students' ecological intelligent.

Green skills are the technical skills, knowledge, values and attitudes needed in the workforce to develop and support sustainable social, economic and environmental outcomes in business, industry and the community (as defined by the Green Skills Agreement, Australia). School teachers play a role in producing skilled labor that has green skills. The aim of this research is to explore the views of teachers regarding the instilling of green skills in students and the types of green skills applicable in schools. This research is a qualitative investigation using the method of in-depth interview to collect information from the teachers who handle the subject of Living Skill Integration in secondary schools. The respondents opine that the school can disseminate preliminary information about green skills, but the application of these skills in real life requires experienced teachers. Furthermore, these skills can be infused into various subjects so that students can have a holistic perspective of sustainability. The respondents also state that the types of skills applicable in schools are recycling or material management, which will minimize the use of electricity and water. The applications of these green skills in schools are a real challenge to teachers, but they will encourage students to commit themselves to the good cause of environment. Therefore, all parties concerned must make a concerted effort to promote green skills so that students and the public are well aware of the importance of preserving the environment.

As the next generation, high school students receive teaching and habituation about behavior towards the environment. The form of habituation of environmental management behavior is done through various programs, one of which is Green School. Green School encourages all school residents to get used to eco-friendly behavior. This research raises the issue of the impact of the Green School program on students' environmental behavior. The form of participation and behavior of environmental management are also described in this study. The method used is a survey using the proenvironmental behavior instrument among high school students in the school. The results indicate that the environmental behavior of high school students is still in the medium category, which means that environmentally friendly behavior among high school students has not been accustomed. Besides, the impact of the Green School program has not been fully able to familiarise students with environmentally friendly behaviors.
