“…Among different types of QDs, ZnO, CdTe, CdSe/ZnS, ZnO@polymer, ZnO, Au@polymer, Fe 3 O 4 @ZnO:Er 3+ , and Yb 3+ @(đœ-CD) have been used in drug delivery applications, while some of them including CdTe, Cu + -doped CdS, CdTe/CdSe, CdSe/CdS, CdS/ZnS, CdSe/ZnS, CdTe/ZnTe, CdTe/CdSe/ZnSe, CdTeSe/CdZnS, and Gd-doped ZnO are found to be beneficial in biological imaging applications (e.g., human hepatic, ovarian, gastric, oral epidermoid, breast, cervix, lung, and pancreatic carcinomas). [23] Several types of QDs, such as CdSeS, CdTe/ZnTe, CdTe, InP/ZnS, CdSe/ZnS, CdSe, and CdS, are currently available commercially. [17] The conventional types of QDs (core nanocrystals) comprise two distinct parts, including a heavy metal core and a wide bandgap semiconductor shell.…”
