Secondary metabolites from fungusFomes cajanderi

Abstract: As a part of our systematic investigation of chemical constituents of Polyporaceous family fungi (Basidiomycetes), we studied the fungus of Fomes cajanderi P. Karst collected from Jiling province, China in 1997, and isolated 15 compounds, of which, compound 5 is a naturally occurring new metabolite, while 9, 11 and 12 are new derivatives. Their structures were identified by means of MS, NMR spectra and X-ray crystallographic analysis.

“…The structure of eight major isolated compounds namely ethyl oleate, palmitic acid from the ethanol extract of L. squarrosulus ( Adeoye-Isijola et al., 2018 ), linoleic acid, linoleic acid chloride and oleic acid from the acetone extract of mycelia of T. lactinea ( Yahaya and Don, 2012 ), daldinan A from the methanol extract of the fruiting body of D. concentrica ( Kim et al., 2013 ; Lee et al., 2012 ), fomlactone A and fomlactone B from the petroleum ether and diethyl ether extract of fruit body of Fomitopsis cajanderi ( He et al., 2006 ) ( Figure 1 ) were retrieved from the PubChem database. The ligands structures were plotted two-dimensionally (2D) by utilizing the LigPrep in Maestro version 11.1 (Schrödinger suite, LLC New York, NY, USA) with the force field OPLS_2005 and pH 7.0 ± 2.0 for ionization state generation that used Epik 2.2.…”

“…applanatum , 5 and 6 were selected from R. cajanderi , and ganoderiol F (7) , ganodermanondiol (8) , ganolucidic acid A (9) , and lucidumol B (10) were obtained from G . lucidum (Cör et al., 2018; He et al., 2006; Luo et al., 2017). Among the compounds, 1–6 were drawn using ChemDraw version 16.0 (PerkinElmer ChemOffice Professional), and 7–10 were downloaded from PubChem databasein.sdf format (CID: 471,008, 73,294, 475,412, and 475,411).…”
