Self-esteem, anxiety and coping strategies to manage stress in ice hockey

Abstract: Sweating, increased heart rate, fidgeting, inattention and negative thoughts are typical symptoms of anxiety in sport. Hanton, Mellalieu, and Williams (2015) found that competitive sport has the potential for a high level of stress and anxiety.
