Flexible manufacturing systems (FMS), transitional or absolute customer to encounter the various requirements and preferences, helping to protect organizations which in the circumstances of competitive environment in eachother exactly known always to created, are constructed as a structure that could really keep producing various products and services with minor modifications. Computers are used to help manufacturing lines. This research provides the literature review of manufacturing-production systems, categorisation of manufacturing techniques, advanced manufacturing technologies, manufacturing process modeling, modeling definitions, and database organizational structures, data regulations and procurement for Flexible Manufacturing Systems-Techniques, and eventually the research conclusion and recommendation. Mostly with significant developments in the manufacturing sector, the database idea has become an essential and fundamental element of every type of production system. Its most fundamental tasks are the preservation and accessibility of services required to regulate industrial operations. This study also utilizes SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) evaluation to explore the appropriateness of manufacturing techniques, FMS in industrial manufacturing automated processes. The highlighted elements indicate manufacturing systems' considerable potential to address advanced manufacturing modernization challenges.

Software engineers of production automation systems have to deal with a great number of various tasks for example programming the automation code, simulation or visualization of the production system. For the virtual or real commissioning of the system, further tasks like defining software or hardware communication interfaces are needed. Most engineering tools used by the software engineers only support one or few of the tasks. As a consequence, there is a great heterogeneous industrial tool landscape, which has to be applied in automation software engineering. Although every tool is specialized in its domain, there is plenty information about the system, for example parameters describing geometries or sensor/actuator signals, that are used by almost every domain. Currently, tool independent parameters are declared and defined in every tool redundantly. The possibility to declare and define parameters globally only once is missing. This fact increases the risk of inconsistency and the effort in software engineering.In this paper the approach of a consistent engineering information model to improve the consistency of information focused on parameters is introduced. The approach is implemented by Automation Markup Language (AutomationML). The evaluation is realized by the software engineering of a pneumatic double acting cylinder and shows the potential of accelerating the software engineering and improving consistency of parameters through introducing a consistent engineering information model.

Future manufacturing systems have to be more adaptable to be able to compete in fast changing markets and address specific customer demands. To increase adaptability of production systems, the software and communication infrastructures have to be adaptable as well. Current communication paradigms tightly couple manufacturing systems to communication infrastructures. Changes in the manufacturing system require manual reconfiguration of software and communication infrastructure. In this paper we define the requirements for future adaptable manufacturing systems. They have to be loosely coupled, dynamic, adaptable, and capable of plug & play. We also propose a data-centric approach to make communication systems more adaptable. Using a simplified industrial setup, we show that the approach is feasible for manufacturing systems and increases the adaptability.
