Silica Polymerization from Supersaturated Dilute Aqueous Solutions in the Presence of Alkaline Earth Salts

Abstract: The early stages of silica polymerization in aqueous solution proceed according to a mechanism based on three steps: nucleation, particle growth, and agglomeration of the particles.
