Silk Fibroin as a Novel Alcohol-Resistant Excipient for Sustained-Release Tablet Formulation

Abstract: Concomitant intake of alcoholic beverages with sustained-release oral formulations may potentially lead to dose dumping. Alcohol-resistance testing is currently a requirement for the manufacturers by regulatory authorities.
