Smart Virtualization Packets Forwarding During Handover for Beyond 5G Networks

Abstract: Keeping a connection continuity during the movement of a mobile node (MN) between access points without any suspension of provided services is one of the most pressing issues should be solved. Long handover processing causes interruptions in session connection, high rate of data loss, and long end-to-end delay time. Smart virtualization means the cooperation of different virtualization technologies with novel ideas. In this paper, we proposed a mobile network architecture compatible with cloud computing of 5G … Show more

“…HO performance is improved in this case and can be efficient for mobility management 193‐195 . The HO topic 196‐198 and the number of used HOs 199,200 in mobile communication are described in References 46,201‐209. Determining an optimal HO is significant because they can be useless when users are far from the serving cell.…”

“…HO performance is improved in this case and can be efficient for mobility management. [193][194][195] The HO topic [196][197][198] and the number of used HOs 199,200 in mobile communication are described in References 46,[201][202][203][204][205][206][207][208][209] Determining an optimal HO is significant because they can be useless when users are far from the serving cell. The optimal prediction times for macrocell user equipment (UEs) are briefly explained in Reference 210.…”

“…In regards to possible solutions that ensure QoS requirements for packet loss are met, a network architecture is studied in Reference 53 where the flexibility and agility of a network system is attempted to achieve with the help of software defined network (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV). Besides, to minimize issues such as bandwidth depletion and handover processing delay increment, which causes high packet loss, a mobile node (MN) centric network based SDN and NFV is proposed.…”
