Social Skills for Successful Career Development

Abstract: Rapid economic, social and technological changes have turned social skills into an absolute necessity for human resources and the achievement of a successful career. “…The current study, by combining elements of both college student success research and college student GPA research, investigates whether college students' success, as measured by GPA in their major courses, is linked to lifestyle habits those students share with the faculty members who teach those courses. For the purposes of this research, lifestyle habits were defined as patterns of behavior that contribute to academic success (Cooper & Tang, 2010; Fragoulis & Phillips, 2011; Kim, Newton, Downey, & Benton, 2010).
