“…Long a neglected formal dimension of Spanish film analysis, it has been explored by Kathleen Vernon, Román Gubern, Patricia Hart, Tom Whittaker and Sarah Wright, thereby complicating what was traditionally held to be the relationship between the visual and sonic in film studies.
