“…In [151] a R/S analysis has been applied to obtain Hurst scaling regimes in time series of Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index, in order to analyze drought events in data from two states of Brazil. The R/S analysis has also been applied in [157] over Standard Precipitation Index data to evaluate the long-term persistence of drought in India, by obtaining the Hurst coefficient of the associated time series.
