Abstract:A system of mutually coupled radiative transfer equations is proposed as a formal basis for the numerical analysis of a broad range of spectroscopic effects associated with the propagation of laser radiation in the environment. In particular, this concerns the reabsorption of laser induced fluorescence which inevitably occurs in dense disperse media containing two or more fluorophors. One practical application is for the pressing problem of lidar monitoring the state of plant cover, in particular the concentra… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
