In Malaysia, school activities were disrupted from 2020-2021 due to the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit the country. It caused many things to be temporarily disrupted including co-curriculum activities at school. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine pupils’ perceptions of the co-curriculum activities carried out by the school during the MCO and the effect of those activities on national integration among the pupils. It was quantitative research using a set of questionnaires as its research instrument. The research location was at Tanjong Malim, Perak, Malaysia where five secondary schools were selected. A total of 487 pupils, consisting of 243 Form two pupils and 244 pupils Form four pupils represented various ethnic and religious backgrounds. As a result, the study found that the national integration process was incorporated well through the co-curriculum activities even though the activities were conducted through online mediums. Overall, the score level was High for the majority of the results. Thus, it showed that even though the implementation of MCO had limited the process of national integration through co-curriculum activities, however, the implementation went well. The difference was, that the co-curriculum activities were conducted through online methods.

The Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a decrease in family income. Thus, it gave birth to various forms of difficulties in meeting family needs. Through research, the process of how families survived in earning a living during the Covid-19 pandemic was described. The process included the types of difficulties, impact, and solutions to the difficulties encountered. A qualitative approach was used in conducting this study in which the primary and secondary data were obtained using observation techniques, interviews, focus group discussion, and documentation. The research findings showed that there were three difficulties faced by families from a decrease in their income during the Covid-19 pandemic: difficulties in developing businesses, low family purchasing power, and increasing family needs. These three things then led to family instability with the emergence of conflicts such as domestic violence and divorce which continued to increase during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the difficulties, the family made creative business adjustments and got help. Families made business adjustments by looking for alternative sources of income, while external assistance was obtained from community and government institutions. This paper concludes that the creativity developed to meet family needs during a pandemic is urgently needed so that families can continue to survive in difficult conditions.

Literacy in pesantren still places women as the second class, especially in the study of women's fiqh or husband-wife relations. This phenomenon has attracted researchers to conduct research on one of the books by Nusantara scholars used by Islamic boarding schools, whether it contains gender equality or not. This research focused on one of the books, Adābul Mu’āsyarah, which describes the ethics of husband and wife relations in fostering a harmonious family. By using a literature study with analytical techniques in the form of content analysis and a gender studies approach, this research found that the contents of this book by KH Yasin Asmuni have provided equal space in household relations between husband and wife. Although it cannot be denied that there are still many patriarchal terms, such as defining women as humans who lack reason and emotion, which makes men superior to women in several ways. This phenomenon of patriarchal understanding has been impacted by several factors, such as the author's background, patriarchal culture and the wave of studies that narrowed a unique case into a general provision. This research is expected to provide references and a new paradigm in describing equal husband-wife relations.
