Abstract: ZusammenfassungDie soziologische Gewaltforschung verharrt vor allem in der begrifflichen Auseinandersetzung um das Gewaltverständnis. Der vorliegende Beitrag lenkt den Blick dagegen auf die Erklärung von Gewalt und zieht das struktur-individualistische Grundmodell soziologischer Erklärung von Coleman und Esser heran, um die Diskussionslinien zu vereinen.
