Synthesis and application of novel reactive dyes based on Dimedone moiety

Abstract: The aim of this study is synthesising, characterizing and finding out properties of some new bifunctional dye Bis (monochlorotriazine) (MCT) and heterobifunctional (monochlorotriazine / sulphatoethylsulphone) (MCT/SES) reactive dyes using Dimedone moiety (5,5-Dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione) to enhance favorable properties such as, color strength and light fastness.
