Synthesis, characterization, biocompatibility of hydroxyapatite–natural polymers nanocomposites for dentistry applications

Abstract: Hydroxyapatite (HA), the main mineral component of bones and teeth, was synthesized by using the reaction between calcium nitrate tetrahydrate Ca(NO3)2∙4H2O and diammonium hydrogen phosphate (NH4)2HPO4 (DAHP) with a chemical precipitation method. The objective of this study is to utilize novel inorganic-organic nanocomposites for biomedical applications. HA is an inorganic component (75% w) and chitosan, alginate and albumin (Egg white) are organic components of nanocomposites (25% w). Nanocomposites were prep… Show more

“…Also, there is the need for an improved heating power rate. Higher rates of heating can ensure that the patient is given low doses of MNPs and a short time of stay of the nanoparticles in the body (Chung et al 2016, Rivas et al 2012.…”

“…The absorption bands at 1528 cm  1 are attributed to the N-H bending vibrations, which proved the construction of PCL-PEG-PCL triblock copolymers. The terminal hydroxyl groups in the copo-(CH2Cl2) in the presence of a triple molar ratio of triethylamine, at room temperature, and stirred at 400 rpm on a magnetic/heater stirrer for 6 h , Chung et al 2014, Zohre et al 2014, Dadashzadeh et al 2014, Rahimzadeh et al 2014, Herizchi et al 2014, Kafshdooz et al 2014, Sohrabi et al 2014, Shafiei et al 2014, Dadashzadeh et al 2014, Majidi et al 2014). Then, 10 mg of PEG-PCL copolymer was added and emulsified into the mixture obtained, and stirred at 400 rpm until it was completely emulsified.…”

“…Thus, 100 mg of the copolymer was emulsified in the mixture, using probe sonication at 10 W for 45 s. The mixture obtained (w/o emulsion) was added to an aqueous solution of sodium cholate (6 ml), and was then probe sonicated at 18 W for 1 min. The mixture obtained (w/o/w emulsion) was gently stirred at room temperature until the evaporation of the organic phase was complete , Chung et al 2014, Zohre et al 2014, Dadashzadeh et al 2014, Rahimzadeh et al 2014, Herizchi et al 2014, Kafshdooz et al 2014, Sohrabi et al 2014, Shafiei et al 2014, Dadashzadeh et al 2014, Majidi et al 2014). To prepare doxorubicin-loaded PEG-PCL, 3 mg of doxorubicin hydrochloride was emulsified in 2 ml of dichloromethane …”
