In this article, mode-reconfigurable orbit angular momentum (OAM) waves is developed by mechanically rotating a 2 bit phase quantization (0 , 90 , 180 , and 270 ) transmitarray (TA) with size 6.2λ 0 Â 6.2λ 0 Â 0.98λ 0 (λ 0 wavelength in free space). The TA consists of three-layer metasurfaces (MSs), which are in the top, middle, and bottom layers, respectively. The TA is excited by a horn. The top layer MS converts the spherical wave from the horn into plane wave.
