“…A pesar de la relevancia que en las últimas cinco décadas se ha dado a la integración de la innovación en el sector salud (Carney, 2010;Cohn et al, 2009), su implementación aún se percibe cómo un hecho complejo, justificado en los retos que implica su realización, entre los que se destacan: la ausencia de compromiso gubernamental y directivo con el cambio, la resistencia a la transformación organizativa por parte del talento humano y la deficiencia en los recursos necesarios para la implementación de iniciativas de innovación que sean sostenibles en el tiempo (Grol et al, 2007). Investigaciones precedentes, han estudiado experiencias de implementación de ideas innovadoras en el sector salud (Ginieis, Sánchez & Campa, 2012). Sin embargo, se plantea en la literatura la necesidad de desarrollar investigaciones que a través de la rigurosidad científica, documenten el conocimiento existente en la literatura sobre innovación en salud, con el doble propósito de profundizar en el entendimiento sobre su relevancia y consolidar una visión interdisciplinar que permita articular la conceptualización de la innovación en el sector salud desde la perspectiva de la gestión (Schoenwald et al, 2010) y desde la perspectiva de la práctica médica (Vasileiou, Barnett & Young, 2013).…”
