“…Extended with 4,259,119.30 hectares of coastal and marine area, this province to a great potency of resources and complex problems to be maintained [15]. This province also has a complete coastal ecosystem like estuaries [16] [17] [18] [19], mangroves [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] [25], seagrass [26] [27] [28] [29], and coral reefs [30] [31] [32] [33] [34] [35]. Also, varied coastal local wisdom is still practiced by locals for managing conflicts of resource uses and livelihoods [36].…”

“…Therefore, acquiring detailed information through a comprehensive inventory initiative is crucial for informing conservation and restoration strategies. Despite a multitude of studies addressing mangrove distribution and community structure on Bangka Island [24][25][26][27]30,31,[39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46], scientific data on species distribution, edaphic factors, and the potential zonation pattern of site-specific mangroves, specifically in the wider geographic area of Bangka Island, are mostly lacking or fragmented. A comprehensive study of the mangrove community across Bangka Island is needed to gain insights into the distribution patterns of various species.…”
