Mangrove is a one of high - level plants becouse it has structure roots, branches and leafes. Mangrove commonly was found in the delta or brakishwater, but has ecological benefit as well as economic value. Mangrove found in the intertidal zone and high tide level. This research was aimed to analysis important value aspect of species mangroves at coastal area of Pangkalpinang City. This study uses a purposive sampling method. Data was collected using the line and plot transect method (LTP) and hemisphere photography agreed upon for mangrove monitoring in the COREMAP-CTI. The results showed that Mangrove composition found in 5 stations as many as 22 species mangroves which were classified into 10 family Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiaceae, Avicenniaceae, Meliaceae, Combretaceae, Rubiaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Myrcinaceae, Arecaceae, Malvaceae, Pteridaceae. The type of vegetation that has the highest INP value at the capling level is Rhizophora apiculata BI. of 266.65%, and The type of vegetation that has the highest INP value at the sapling level is Rhizophora apiculata BI. of 202.85%. Dominance species found in 5 station is Rhizophora apiculata BI and Sonneratia alba.
The purpose of this study is to determine the water quality analysis in South Bangka Regency, especially the coastal area, by analyzing the physical-chemical conditions and suitability of salt pond locations. The location of study was conducted in the coastal area of Mempunai, Batu Perahu, Kubu, Tanjung Kemirai, and Puding. The location of study was conducted in the coastal area of Mempunai, Batu Perahu, Kubu, Tanjung Kemirai, and Puding. During the present investigation the minimun and maximum value of water temperature (29 – 32oC), brightness (0,32 – 0,87 m), current (0 – 0,35 m/s), tidal are commonly diurnal (one high and one low tide each day), pH (6,7 – 8,2), salinity (30 – 33,2 o/oo) These areas are dominated by sand and clay. The result of salt pond location suitability analysis is based on water quality in the coastal area. Mempunai, Kubu, Tanjung Kemirai and Puding Beach generally quite-appropriate for salt pond location, different with coastal area of Batu Perahu have inappropriate category for suitability of salt pond location
This research was conducted in the coastal area of Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung Province which has an area of 89.4 km2 with a coastline of 36 km2 and is overgrown by mangrove communities that tend to be varied. The research aims to know mangrove community structure at the coastal Pangkalpinang City. This study uses a survey method consisting of 5 observation stations. Mangrove community data were collected using purposive sampling and line transect plot (LTP) methods; 30 m. Data analysis used was an ecological index consisting of a diversity index (Shannon Wienner), a uniformity index (Evenness), and a dominance index (Simpsons). The results showed that 22 species of mangroves were found in the coastal area of Pangkalpinang City, consisting of true mangroves (major and minor) and 2 species of associated mangroves. The type of Analysis of mangrove community structure includes diversity and evenness index at station 5 compared to other stations. However, the dominance index at station 5 was higher compared to the other stations, which was almost close to 1. Where the mangrove population of each type was not the same and there was a tendency for the population to be dominated by one type of mangrove. Keywords: Diversity; Dominance; Unformity; Pangkapinang AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan di Wilayah Pesisir Kota Pangkalpinang, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.
