“…However, many previous studies, similar to the present study, reported improved satisfaction of patients with nasal appearance postoperatively. [25][26][27][28] A study by Baser et al consistent with the findings of the present study, found that functional satisfaction significantly correlates with nasal obstruction in patients undergoing open septorhinoplasty. Also, Nasal Obstruction Symptoms Evaluation scores were found to be decreased significantly after surgery, and Rhinoplasty Outcomes Evaluation (ROE) scores were increased postoperatively.…”

“…27 In a study by Zojaji et al, whose results were similar to ours, it was found that the entire facial ratio altered dramatically after rhinoplasty. 28 Although patients are more pleased with their nasal shape after surgery, there is no association between patient satisfaction and facial proportions. Studies show that most patients are satisfied with septorhinoplasty.…”

“…The sample size was calculated to detect a 5° difference in the nasolabial angle between the high and low satisfaction groups, using the study by Zozaji et al 15 In this study, 15 the standard deviation (SD) of the nasolabial angle was 7 before rhinoplasty (used as a reference for the low satisfaction group) and 6 in the postoperative rhinoplasty (used as reference for the high satisfaction group). A 5% significance level and a power of 80% were used to calculate a total sample size of 67 patients divided into two groups in a 3:1 subject ratio.…”

“…Ozturk et al 14 described that nasal dorsal alignment was the only objective parameter that correlated with the patient's esthetic perception. Zojaji et al, 15 in an Iranian prospective study, reported no significant association between patient satisfaction and facial proportions, such as nasolabial angle, nasofacial angle, and nasal tip measures.…”

“…While anthropometric parameters have historically guided surgical aesthetics, their general applicability has come under scrutiny 7 - 9 . Additionally, the dynamic nature of beauty standards becomes evident when considering a study on Italian models, underscoring the need for individualized and contemporary considerations in rhinoplasty planning 10 .…”
