The Development of Project-Based Innovative Learning Resources for Teaching Organic Analytical Chemistry

Abstract: An Organic Analytical Chemistry course is very important for prospective chemists because it builds competence in the analysis of organic compounds. This study aims to develop project-based innovative learning resources to guide students to study Organic Analytical Chemistry. The research was conducted by following the ADDIE model to develop learning resource for undergraduate students. The study involve 35 students of the Chemistry Study Program at 2020-2021 academic year. The results showed that innovative l… Show more

“…Analytical skills must be practiced contextually carried out in the laboratory [17]. Global problems due to the Covid-19 pandemic have forced the implementation of learning to be carried out online to break the transmission of the corona virus, resulting in the teaching of Analytical Chemistry not being carried out holistically, and minus practices that build analytical skills in the laboratory [18,19]. The application of inquiry-based learning in this study is a blended learning model, a combination of online and face-to-face which is designed to facilitate independent active learning to achieve competence in the field of qualitative analytics.…”

“…This kind of research used to produce particular products (Manalu et al 2016;Sariani, 2017). In this research the product is the learning product (Manalu et al 2018;Pakpahan et al 2021). This research used the ADDIE model but in incomplete form where is only the analysis stages, design, development and evaluation, without the implementation stage.…”

“…Students become more active in learning because learning is student-centered (Juniar et al 2019a;Asni et al 2020). Students are allowed to find and collect basic concepts through practical activities so that students can formulate answers based on the problems given and prove them through experimental activities carried out (Juniar & Fardilah, 2019;Pakpahan et al 2021;Silaen & Silaban, 2022;Mawaddah & Silaban, 2022).…”
