The Effect of Quizizz and Learning Independence on Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Quizizz media and independent learning on mathematics learning outcomes on the subject of derivative functions, with worksheet media as the control variable. They rely on an experimental method with the two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Tukey analysis. The results showed a significant difference where the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students who were taught using Quizizz media were higher than those taught using worksheet media. … Show more

“…Mulyati & Evendi [9] in their research proved that Quizizz application can improve student learning outcomes. Khasanah & Lestari [10] in their research, This study's results have implications for choosing Quizizz media and the relationship between learning media interactions with students' learning independence. Another research, Darmawan, Daeni, & Listiaji [11] uses Quizizz as an online assessment for science learning and concluded that online assessment using Quizizz is very beneficial for teachers or lecturers because they can provide test results reports quickly along with their analysis and increased student motivation and interest.…”

“…This activity is used because it is able to provide various points of view or suggestions for improvements to planning, implementation, and reflection on learning (Chen & Li, 2010;Fitriati et al, 2023). The didactic design that is prepared is then assisted by a geoboard to make it easier to solve problems (Ningrum & Napitupulu, 2021;Vázquez-Serrano et al, 2022) and integrates the use of ICT, such as inspirational videos from YouTube and Quzizz, so that student learning motivation increases (Coles, 2014;Khasanah & Lestari, 2021;Santagata et al, 2021;Saragih & Panjaitan, 2023;Yanuarto & Hastinasyah, 2022). The problem-solving abilities intended in this research adapt aspects of problem-solving by Polya.…”

“…Students are high in solving existing problems, especially math problems (Kristanto & Yunianta, 2021;Setiyani et al, 2020). Learning mathematics using Quizizz also contributes to independence and learning outcomes (Khasanah & Lestari, 2021). This is because students can explore learning by working on various tasks, even though they are not from the class they are participating in.…”
