Background: Breast cancer is a significant health concern among Indonesian women, emphasizing the need for effective prevention strategies. Purpose: This study investigates the effects of health education utilizing the Breast Self-Examination (BSE) method, augmented with blended learning, on the affective, psychomotor, and cognitive aspects of young women attending Wachid Hasyim Tebuireng High School. Method: Employing a Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group design, participants were divided into control and intervention groups. The intervention group received health education utilizing the BSE technique combined with blended learning, while the control group did not undergo this intervention. Results: Results indicated substantial improvements in the affective, psychomotor, and cognitive domains among young women who received health education with blended learning. Positive attitudes towards BSE increased significantly, with average scores rising from 75.1 to 85.3 post-intervention. Similarly, psychomotor skills improved, evidenced by scores escalating from 72.4 to 84.5 after receiving education. Moreover, cognitive understanding saw a remarkable enhancement, with average scores soaring from 67.3 to 87.6 following the intervention. Conclusion: The study concludes that integrating blended learning with health education significantly enhances young women's psychomotor, affective, and cognitive responses to BSE. These findings underscore the efficacy of blended learning in augmenting the impact of health education, particularly in empowering young women with essential knowledge and skills for breast cancer prevention and early detection.

Objective - Undernutrition among elementary school students is too high in Indonesia. Elementary students in the Indonesian context have many problems in daily breakfast and vegetable consumption. Therefore, health education programs to improve their nutritional status should be conducted in context. Further, this study sought to examine a health education program using a SIMON Comic with an emic Papua approach for improving food intake of breakfast and vegetables among elementary school students in Indonesia.Method - A quasi-experimental study design with a pre-test-post-test control group was performed on 60 elementary school students (30 in the intervention and 30 in the control group). The intervention group received the comic for one month. Meanwhile, the control group received a leaflet. Food intake of breakfast and vegetable were measured using a self-administred questionnaire to measure knowledge, attitudes, and practice. Data were analysed using the independent T-Test.Results - The SIMON comic with an emic Papua approach significantly increased students’ knowledge about improving breakfast and vegetable consumption, P-value = 0.001). However, there was no significant attitude and practice change between comic and leaflet groups in breakfast and vegetables consumption (P-value>0.05).Conclusion - The SIMON Comic with an emic Papua approach improved knowledge of students about breakfast and vegetable consumption. Therefore, health education for elementary students using this comic should be implemented in the school curriculum.

produced a comic entitled "Sehat Ceria di Masa Pandemi." This comic is intended as a medium for socializing health protocols for classroom learning preparation for elementary school students in Sumedang Regency, West Java. The comic media was deliberately chosen, because it has advantages in terms of visuals and stories that are easy to understand. In this study, comics are seen as educational media which are analyzed using a qualitative narrative method from Walter R. Fisher. This study focuses on analyzing the narrative concept and narrative rationality concept in the comic. Data was collected through text and visual depictions in comics and assisted by structured interviews with the comic production team. The first result of this research is the narrative concept in the comic displayed through visual elements, stories, and dialogues between characters. Second, the narrative rationality concept in the comic already includes two principles, coherence and truth. Coherence is shown in the plot structure while the principle of truth is displayed through health protocol information that is inserted in the dialogue between characters.
