The effectiveness of online learning by EdPuzzle in polymer materials on students’ problem-solving skills

Abstract: This study aims to produce EdPuzzle content in polymer materials and examine its effectiveness on students’ problem-solving skills. The method used in this research is experimental research, employing a pre-test post-test one-group design through online learning. The subject of this study is 70 tenth grade students. Data were collected using students’ problem-solving skills tests and analysis of the learning process to determine the effectiveness of online learning. The data obtained were then analyzed using q… Show more

“…There are facts in the field that some teachers are still dominant in the use of WhatsApp social media as a learning tool during the pandemic. The ease of use of androidbased applications has provided benefits for teachers to provide material and questions that challenge students in solving problems (Liliarti & Kuswanto, 2018;Giyanto et al, 2020). Contextual research-based questions can also be presented in a more attractive, interactive, and more accessible manner through using Microsoft Sway.…”

“…In this case, the researcher explained or described the implementation of vocabulary learning using interactive media EdPuzzle. The method presented is to describe the object under study through data or samples that have been collected as is, without analyzing and making generally accepted conclusions (Sugiyono in Giyanto, Heliawaty, & Rubini, 2020). Descriptive research design with a quantitative approach starts from vocabulary learning activities.…”

“…Hypothesis 7 (H7): Immediacy of feedback from media is positively correlated with students' continuous intentions to use online learning Students' interpersonal skills have subtle impacts on the adaptation of new technologies in the form of online learning (Çevik et al, 2015). Different studies were conducted to explore the impacts of online learning on student problem-solving skills (Giyanto et al, 2020). Different factors of success of online learning were extensively identified by many researchers (Habes et al, 2022).…”

“…Different factors of success of online learning were extensively identified by many researchers ( Habes et al, 2022 ). Problem-solving skills of students are an important attribute of online learning to continuously use online learning in future ( Giyanto et al, 2020 ). To determine the impact of students’ problem-solving skills on continuous intentions to use online learning with the immediacy of feedback, hypothesis 8 is made.…”
