The effectiveness of the use of polypeptide drugs and their effect on the metabolic parameters of oral fluid in patients with generalized periodontitis in depending on blood type

Abstract: The article presents the results of treatment of 157 patients with generalized periodontitis depending on blood type using polypeptide drugs. The concentration of total protein, C – reactive protein, IgG, TRACP, BSALP, albumin, amylase, lipase, Ca, Fe was determined in the oral fluid. The treatment allowed to reduce the content of total protein, C – reactive protein, TRACP in the oral fluid with increasing levels of calcium, Fe, BSALP, in relation to the relevant data before treatment. And also, polypeptide dr… Show more

“…The amount of absorbed dye (as a percentage) was calculated from the difference between the optical density of the initial dye solution and the dye solution after incubation with erythrocytes. [16] The results were statistically analyzed by means of non-parametric indices methods using the STATISTICA 10.0 software (Statsoft, USA). The reliability of the differences in values between independent quantitative values was determined with a normal distribution according to the Mann-Whitney U criterion.…”

“…Today, one of the current areas for therapeutic and prophylactic effects on periodontal tissues is the study of the mechanism of action of peptide bioregulators of multicellular systems, in particular, short low molecular weight synthesized peptides of selective action. The unique sequence of amino acids in peptides is a certain information stimulus-carrier for the damaged cell, which regulates metabolic processes, enhances protein synthesis in the periodontium, increases antioxidant activity, improves blood microcirculation and accelerates the recovery of periodontal tissues and its functions [18,19].…”

“…Modern research has proven the dualism of the effects of thyroid hormones on bone metabolism. Metabolic disorders lead to the fact that all patients with diffuse toxic goiter, even in the early stages of the disease, have inflammatory-dystrophic changes in the periodontium [12,13].…”
