The Impact of Biochar on the Soil

Abstract: In the present paper are presented the experimental results of biomass gasification, the biochair was produced from vineyards by controlled pyrolysis at 750 C, in order to increase the fertility of soils, it was found the increase of the fertility produced by the development of the vegetables in the soil to which was added biochar. Soil was added to soil 4 g/dm3 biochar, 8 g/dm3 biochar, the soil had no high humidity, was taken at a time when it had not rained for at least one week, the soil pH was 8, in the … Show more

“…Sludge from sewage treatment plants can be used in forestry, rehabilitation of degraded land and agricultural land. The calculation of the amount of sludge that can be used in agriculture for 30 years in tonne per hectare is based on the concentration of heavy metals [21][22][23]: (1) where: D n30 is the amount of dry sludge in 30 years in [t/ ha]; C max is the permitted metal concentration in the soil [mg/kg] of dry matter; C sludge is the concentration of metal present in the soil [mg/kg of dry matter]; K is a factor that shows the fertile soil on 1 hectare of agricultural land (K = 3000).…”

“…Among the various sources of pollution, significant gas pollution is caused both by economic activities, which generate air pollutants resulting from industrial processes (industrial pollutants) [3,4,8,9] and pollution resulting from the emissions of gases/noxious substances from vehicles, aircraft, railways or naval vehicles, or other toxic gases from indoor/outdoor environments [10][11][12]. Therefore, there is a need to develop sensors Sustainability 2021, 13, 10197 2 of 9 and devices based on materials with excellent properties at high temperatures, which work in harsh environmental conditions [13].…”

“…Corrosion of metallic materials occurs as a consequence of the action environments more or less aggressive correlated with variations in temperature range for actuation, mechanical (static, dynamic and cyclic) [1][2][3][4][5]. Also a great influence on their resistance has the composition and structure of a metallic material and the nature environment [6][7][8]. A good corrosion resistance is presented by steels which have a high purity, a homogeneous structure, the ones allied with Cr, Ni, Al, Si, e.q., and those whose surface in contact with corrosive media is finely machined.…”
