The Influence of Vegetation and House Index on Male Mosquitoes DHF Vector Abundance on Kawengen Sub-District

Abstract: The environmental conditions of an area can be a major risk factor for potential outbreaks of DHF. Dense areas with a variety of vegetation are facilitated as breeding sites and have an impact on vector density. The high of vector population give an effect the speed of transmission vector-borne diseases. DHF vector population is related to the vector DHF mating pattern. Adult male mosquitoes vector DHF plays an important role in the pattern of mating DHF. The proportion of mating between adult male and females… Show more

“…The average time required for larvae emergence was more than five days in treated water compared to the control, which was less than five days. This is proven following the research of [12], that the Aedes spp. The hatchability of Aedes spp eggs in regional PDAM media is better than in water originating from domestic waste.…”

“…Quinquefasciatus and has been found in many parts of the country, such as Papua, Aceh, West Java, Central Java, and Jakarta (34). A high density of vectors increases the risk of disease transmission (35). Culex quinquefasciatus is the numerous mosquito and dominant species captured in Bekasi.…”

“…This condition makes a dense area of vegetation an adaptive environment for mosquito life. Dense vegetation has a high potential as a breeding ground for mosquitoes 4 The countermeasures of dengue fever are still very dependent on vector control efforts to break the chain of transmission of DHF. One of the methods that can be used in the control Putri et al | Water type differences analysis in … of mosquito vectors is ovitrap.…”
