The origin of the mysterious multi-country monkeypox outbreak in non-endemic countries

Abstract

Logical deductions from experimental data have been unable to explain the origin of the current monkeypox outbreaks in multiple countries. But upon illustrating the reality in which these outbreaks occur, it was found to be that in which different diseases of the same immunological nature, the nature that permits them to be rendered asymptomatic simultaneously without the elimination of their different causes, appear simultaneously when conditions that permitted immune mechanisms to bring about such protection disappear. An outbreak of such immunologically equivalent diseases therefore does not require the spread of those that are pathogens among the causes of such diseases to occur. And the manifestations of such diseases will become widespread in a population when factors that cause the disappearance of conditions that permitted them to be rendered asymptomatic by immune mechanisms become widespread in the population. If we will escape the threat that the catastrophically widespread appearance of manifestations such as Ebola and malignancies will pose to our species, our topmost research priority ought to be the immunological nature of the pathological effects of the pathogens that are linked with them.

What Predicts the Victims of the Severe Pathological Manifestations in Infections?

“…This spectral disease concept of such diseases that are caused by those infectious biological entities that we refer to as pathogens describes the pathological manifestations that appear in the infected as an outcome of the concomitant appearance of different diseases in a spectrum that includes the disease that the pathogen causes upon the disappearance of the conditions that permit immunological mechanisms to obstruct the single pathway through which pathological mechanisms respond to the influence of the pathogen and the different causes.. 4 It is this spectral disease concept which has found representation in the observations our clinicians have made during the current pandemic, outcomes which include the multiorgan failure which causes death in severe COVID-19 cases 5 and as predicted in another paper on the current monkeypox outbreaks outside of Africa 6 where a less virulent monkepox virus was logically deduced to be spreading, 7 the Encephalitis that caused 3 deaths in Spain and India and the comorbidities that caused the death of a Brazilian patient with lymphoma. 8 Such comorbidities were reported to have aggravated the patient's condition 8 in the absence of the knowledge of the spectral concept of such severe pathological manifestations as those that caused these monkeypox deaths, one which describes them as manifestations of different diseases which belong to the same spectrum as the infectious disease that the monkeypox virus causes.…”

What Predicts the Severity of Monkeypox and other Infections?

“…7 Here is how I predicted that the severity of the pathological manifestations that will appear in those who are infected will not depend on what is logically deduced to be the virulence of the monkeypox viruses that are present in the afflicted: "And in this reality, the monkeypox manifestations that appear in one population are not more virulent than those that appear in others because the viruses that are linked with such manifestations in that population are more virulent than those that are linked with them in others but rather because those that appear in that population among the different diseases that are immunologically equivalent to the disease that such viruses cause, which must appear concomitantly with this disease when their causes are present, produce a clinical outcome that is more severe than the outcomes produced by those that appear in other populations among such immunologically equivalent diseases." 6 But without the guidance of the evolutionary consequence of the reality in which pathological manifestations are brought about in the infected, according to which the similarities between the viruses in Africa and those in the current outbreaks outside of the continent are effects of convergent evolution and not of descent as Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory inferred from analogy, 8 it was, in the manner of Darwin, concluded on the basis of inferences from genomes that the monkeypox viruses in the 2022 outbreak are those of a 'West African clade and ultimately, that the outbreak has a single origin since the genetic similarities between these viruses were considered to exist because they all descended from a single ancestor, all in spite of the absence of known epidemiological links to West or Central Africa. 9 And the resulting expectation was that populations affected by the 2022 outbreak should not expect severe pathological manifestations to follow infection since these viruses, which inferences from genomes suggested to be West African monkeypox viruses, had been logically deduced from data on fatalities to be much less virulent than those of Central Africa.…”

“…And this consequence yields the prediction that when immunological conditions that protect us from deadly outcomes of Monkeypox and Ebola disappear in a sufficiently large proportion of the populations on these continents and the causes of such deadly outcomes are present at the time of such disappearance, such deadly outcomes will appear catastrophically and decimate such populations if we do not elucidate such conditions that give rise to immunity before such a time. 6 And it ultimately follows that even when pathogens such as the monkeypox virus and the Ebola virus are absent at such a time but causes of the diseases that are immunologically linked with the diseases that such pathogens cause, which may include cancers, are present, outcomes such 6 as malignancies, which are already difficult to treat in spite of the many treatments that are available, will become so widespread within a short period of time that we will assume, as we did when Devil Facial Tumor Disease appeared catastrophically in Tasmanian devils, 6 that they are being rapidly transmitted when they are in reality spectral diseases 5 which can appear in every single member of the population at the same time if immunological conditions disappear in the entire population at the same time. This might be the mechanism by which certain evolutionary forms became irreversibly decimated and ultimately rendered extinct.…”

Monkeypox Deaths Demand Understanding of Spectral Theory of infectious disease pathogenesis

“…But in reality, pneumonic plague, which is one of the three major forms of plague, is not a single disease that spreads but rather is an outcome of different diseases that appear concomitantly because of the disappearance of the conditions that permit the different diseases in the immunological spectrum of the disease that Yersnia pestis causes to be rendered asymptomatic without the elimination of their causes." 4 This spectral theory of infectious disease pathogenesis, 6,7,8,9,10 according to which the severe outcomes that cause death in the infected are not a direct consequence of transmission of the pathogen but rather of the disappearance of the conditions that permit asymptomatic hosting of 5 the pathogen and other diseases in its immunological spectrum which results in the comanifestation of such diseases and severe outcomes which the spread of the pathogen cannot account for has now, sadly, been confirmed by monkeypox deaths from severe clinical outcomes of different kinds in non-endemic countries which now include Brazil, Spain, India, 11,12 Ecuador, 13 Peru, 12 the United States, 14,15 Mexico and Cuba. 16 But in the absence of the knowledge of the reality which has yielded the spectral theory of infectious disease pathogenesis, how the monkeyvirus brings about different severe clinical outcomes, which include those with encephalitis, could not be explained.…”
