“…In this regard, some empirical evidence suggests that reinforcement of HPWS may not be directly linked to change readiness owing to its contextual distinctions (Akbar et al, 2018). As a result, recent management scholars have sought to demystify the mediators that significantly link the HPWS and change-related outcomes (Shah et al, 2017;Akbar et al, 2018). However, little attention has been paid to exploring the interlinks among these mediators.…”

“…The current research contributes to the literature by connecting two major management streams: strategic human resource management and change management. Although several scholars acknowledge the importance of HPWS in managing organisational change (Tummers et al, 2015;Akbar et al, 2018;Kwon and Jeon, 2020), fewer studies provide empirical evidence. This study is among the earliest to empirically confirm the association between the HPWS and a change-related construct.…”

Higher economic exchange was found to be associated with a greater continuance commitment in organizations in which employees had no other employment options (Akbar et al, 2018 ; Meyer & Parfyonova, 2010 ; Shore et al, 2006 ).…”

HPWSs were elaborated by Datta, Deepak and Guthrie, James P and Wright, Patrick M (2005); Akbar, Rashid, and Farooq (2018) as a group of selected HR practices intended to promote employees' skills, abilities and productivity that ultimately lead the organization toward differential advantage. If these practices may be implemented perfectly, there are sufficient proves that employees' of any organization may develop perfectly to achieve the long term objectives.…”

“…Thirdly, many of the researchers have drawn linkages between HPWSs and organizational performance (Rhee, Oh, & Yu, 2018;Akbar et al, 2018) or the financial performance (Safavi & Karatepe, 2018;Grant & Maxwell, 2018). But little work had been seen on the impact of HPWSs on individual performances (Ogbonnaya & Valizade, 2018), interestingly no work has been seen on the impact of HPWSs on faculty productivity in higher education sector.…”
