This study aims to examined the form of accelerating the role of parents in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and to examined the mental and spiritual impact of the role of fifth graders at Dana Punia Singaraja Elementary School. This research was a mixed research model, namely quantitative and qualitative research, with the research subjects being students of SD Dana Punia Singaraja. The method of determining the sample used was the study population method, which is examining all 17 students. While the data collection methods used were questionnaires, interviews, observation and document recording. Data analysis used quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis obtained the following findings. The role of parents in accelerating online learning contributes very significantly in strengthening students' spiritual mentality. Classically, the role of parents was 85.65%. In detail, it can be seen in each aspect, namely 1) aspects of democratic services by 76.76%, 2) functions of parents (birth, care, education, raising) of 80.82%, 3) control aspects of 85.18%, and 4) attention aspect of 85.65%. Mental spirituality as a result of the role of parents in accelerating online learning classically was 85.06% very good. While the results of each mental spiritual aspect were obtained 1) mental aspects related to the school community amounted to 85.06%, 2) mental aspects related to value alignment of 85.18%, 3) aspects related to the school environment amounted to 76.06 %, 4) aspects related to self-commitment were 76.41%. The results of this study were equipped with suggestions and recommendations.

One of the educational problems during the Covid-19 pandemic is the role of parents in guiding children to learn. Their role is to determine the success of students' learning, especially elementary school students. This study aims to describe the parenting model on student learning activities during the pandemic. This study was conducted at the Santa Theresa SDK, Paremei, Manado. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection methods are structured interviews and data analysis techniques using descriptive qualitative. The results of the study reveal that during the pandemic, parents who educate children with democratic parenting are more likely than authoritarian and permissive parenting styles. The parenting model applied by parents in the family is relatively consistent. However, the consistency of the use of parenting without a thorough assessment of its effectiveness on student learning outcomes at school. These findings have implications for the practice of tutoring for children and recommendations for future research.

<span>Parenting style was a set of parental attitude and behavior communicated by parents to children, forming an emotional climate condition used by parents to raise children. The study on parenting style had been conducted for a long time, but measurement of parenting style in Indonesia was still experiencing problem due to lack of sufficient and proper instrument, despite the monumental need for a valid and reliable instrument. The aim of this study was to examine the factor structure, internal consistency and others psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the parenting styles and dimensions questionnaire-short form (PSDQ-SF). The instrument comprises 32 items (12 questions regarding the authoritative style, 15 questions regarding the authoritarian style, and five questions regarding the permissive style). The research sample consisted of 169 mothers with children of 5-7 years of age. Research was conducted in Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia. Structural equation modelling (SEM) with LISREL 9.20 was utilized as the data analysis technique. Data analysis results by CFA second order showed that construct validity testing fulfilled the minimum criteria, with the factor loading range of 0.51-0.99. The reliability score’s Cronbach’s alpha also fulfilled the requirement, including the authoritative parenting style 0.86; the authoritarian parenting style 0.76 and the permissive authoritarian parenting style 0.67. These findings support the PSDQ-SF original structure. The results showed that the adaptation of PSDQ-SF in Indonesia was valid and reliable to use in measurement of parenting styles of parents of children of 5-7 years of age in Indonesia.</span>
