The Synthesis and Structure of P−C−P Bridged Ferrocene

Abstract

The reaction of dilithioferrocene 12 with methylene-bis(dialkylaminochlorophosphanes) 13a,b (a = CH 3 , b = C 2 H 5 ) leads to the formation of compounds 14a,b in which the two cyclopentadiene rings are bridged by a P−C−P chain. Because of the cyclic structure, cis-and trans-isomerism is expected.
