“…Andrade et al [47] stated that the tourismization of European port cities is a process that accompanies globalization and promotes cities as products or destinations for vacations or business. Nofre [48] argued that tourismization related to nightlife has had negative impacts on spaces and society in central historic neighborhoods of lots of European cities, so it is necessary to strengthen the social and cultural value of nightlife. Taking the Seochon and Bukchon areas of Seoul in Korea as examples, Kwon et al [49] pointed out that tourismization promotes tourism development by changing urban spaces, which affects residents along with the commercial and social structures of communities.…”

“…The dynamic nightlife has been identified as a significant part of Belgrade’s tourism offer and the most dominant component of the city’s image (Vujović et al , 2021). However, research on Belgrade as a “nocturnal tourist city” – to use the terminology proposed by Nofre (2021) – has been widely neglected.…”

“…Shopping, restaurants, clubs, museums, theatres, art exhibitions and different events are all examples of activities that might be included in the NTE offer (Rowe and Lynch, 2012). However, various authors (Nghiêm-Phú, 2020; Theerakulvanich and Chotiyaputta, 2021) noted that there is a paucity of research on nightlife as a “tourist-oriented night-time leisure economy” (Nofre, 2021, p. 1552). Although diverse topics of the nightlife have been present in the literature for the past two decades, the authors’ focus has been mainly on the negative impacts of the night-time tourism development, such as intoxication and extensive drug use (Tutenges, 2012; Wood et al , 2016) and violence (Calafat et al , 2010; Hughes et al , 2008).…”
