The wheel-rail contact friction influence on high speed vehicle model stability

Abstract: Summary. Right estimating of the coefficient of friction between the wheel and rail is essential in modelling rail vehicle dynamics. Constant value of coefficient of friction is the typical assumption in theoretical studies.
