“…El intervalo que recoge el rango de 0,80-1,20 representa el riesgo de fallecimiento normal respecto a lo esperado para España, los intervalos por encima de 1,20 mostrarán un riesgo de fallecimiento superior al esperado mientras que, aquellos por debajo de 0,80 mostrarán un riesgo inferior respecto al total español. Este tipo de intervalos predefinidos, ampliamente utilizados en epidemiología, tienen su razón de ser en motivos de visibilidad así como por la necesidad de dividir los valores de la variable en números pares de intervalos alrededor del valor medio (0,80-1,20) (Cauvin, Escobar & Serradj, 2010).
