THU0441 Risk-Benefit of Co-Administered Traumeel® (TR14) and Zeel® (ZE14) Intra-Articular (IA) Injections in Patients with Moderate-to-Severe Pain Associated with OA of the Knee (OAK)

Abstract: BackgroundData for Tr14&Ze14, a combination of dilute biological and mineral components was recently reported to be effective in treatment of OAK.3 In a recent meta-analysis of OAK pain from 129 studies/32129 patients (Pt)1, IA placebos (Pb) were significantly superior to oral Pb. Statistically normalized (Hedges g)2 effect sizes (ES) at 3 months compared to IA-Pb were: IA-hyaluronates (HA) 0.34, IA-corticosteroids (C) 0.32, diclofenac 0.23, ibuprofen 0.15, naproxen 0.09, celecoxib 0.04, acetaminophen (indeter… Show more

“…Of fundamental importance in understanding the mechanisms of regulation of inflammatory response was the model of the immune balance, that is, the reciprocal relationships between some lymphocyte subpopulations, T-helper 1 (Th1), Th2, regulatory T cells (T-reg) and Th17. Preclinical and clinical studies on the use of multicomponent/multitarget drugs [ 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 ] and physiological low dose cytokines [ 38 , 39 , 40 , 41 , 42 , 43 ] have opened new scenarios on the possibilities of treating acute and chronic inflammatory diseases (also on an autoimmune basis).…”

“…Европейское общество клинических и экономических исследований «Аспекты остеопороза и остеоартроза» (European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis; ESCEO) опубликовало алгоритм-рекомендацию, включающую в себя назначение симптоматических препаратов замедленного действия (Symptomatic slow acting drugs for osteoarthritis; SYSADOA), способствующих замедлению деградации компонентов хряща и прогрессирования болезни уже на первом этапе лечения [20]. Однако отношение к этим рекомендациям неоднозначное, поскольку препараты SYSADOA в основном представлены внутрисуставными инъекциями глюкозамина сульфата, хондроитина сульфата и гиалуроновой кислоты [20,21].…”
