TMT-Based Quantitative Proteomics Analysis of the Fish-Borne Spoiler Shewanella putrefaciens Subjected to Cold Stress Using LC-MS/MS

Abstract: Shewanella putrefaciens is a specific spoilage bacterium for fish during cold storage. To better understand the molecular mechanisms of cold stress adaptation of S. putrefaciens, tandem mass tag- (TMT-) based quantitative proteomic analysis was performed to detect the effects of cold stress on protein expression profiles in S. putrefaciens which had been cultivated at 4°C and 30°C, respectively. A total of 266670 peptide spectrum matching numbers were quantified proteins after data analysis. Of the 2292 protei… Show more

“…The technique can also be used to identify drug targets and their mechanisms of action [ 15 , 16 ]. Tandem mass tag-based (TMT) is a quantitative proteomic technique that can label and analyze multiple biological samples with high sensitivity and generate high-quality data [ 17 , 18 ]. In addition, TMT is commonly used to study the therapeutic targets and mechanisms of action of TCMs [ 19 , 20 ].…”

“…coli O157:H7. Tandem mass tag (TMT) is a quantitative protein technique with in vitro isotope labeling and is one of the most powerful proteomics technologies developed recently. , Differentially expressed proteins can more comprehensively reflect the effects of AMAs on the overall metabolism in cells. In addition, multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) can simultaneously verify hundreds of target proteins.…”
