“…Sustainability of rural architecture has been researched through a traditional settlement in Cyprus; As a result, it is emphasized that it has many of the criteria, but it needs to be developed to meet contemporary needs (Philokyprou & Michael, 2021). In studies examining sustainability in terms of traditional buildings in different countries, courtyard houses in Iran and China (Soflaei et al, 2017) and local houses in Southern Italy and Lithuania were evaluated (Samalavičius & Traškinaitė, 2021). The environmental effects of materials and their recycling costs were examined in the context of masonry walls, and their data were presented under 15 parameters (Erduran et al, 2020).…”

“…Using computer and digital technologies in museums has been hailed as a solution with huge potential since their early beginnings and evolved into a more guarded approach, in stark contrast with the overconfidence expressed several decades ago (Ellin, 1969;Fahy, 2005;Williams, 2013). Examples of best practices or merely identified opportunities soon arose, concerning all activities that are undertaken in a museum, from record keeping (Bearman & Perkins, 1999;Reibel, 2017) and research (Parry, 2005) to education and communication. New concepts to define the current reality of museums have been created, with virtual museum digital museums and museum computerization (Jones, 2005;Sartori, 2016;Schweibenz, 2019) being among them.…”

“…For all these reasons, this article is constructed to exemplify a practical solution to answer the many concerns that may arise behind the issue of understanding the technology and function of a piece of built heritage to be able to ensure its long-term preservation. The large variety of materials and techniques showcased by the traditional buildings in a folklife museum is thus tackled from a perspective that proposes to understand sustainability in a more recent frame, related to the usage of time-saving measurement and data registration methods (Samalavičius & Traškinaitė, 2021;Karataş et al, 2022;Oxley, 2015).…”
