Transcriptomic profiles in peripheral blood between women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure and recurrent miscarriage and the correlation with endometrium: A pilot study

Abstract: AimTo study the transcriptome profiles in the blood of recurrent implantation failure (RIF), recurrent miscarriage (RM) and fertile women during the window of implantation, and further analysis the correlation of transcriptome profiles between blood and endometrium.MethodsThis is an observational prospective study. In total 9 subjects were recruited, 3 RIF, 3 RM, and 3 controls. Paired samples (endometrium and peripheral blood) from the same subjects were precisely timed on the 7th days after luteal hormone su… Show more

“…Transcription profiles have been compared within the endometrium from control subjects to those with recurrent implantation failure, but also to the peripheral blood transcriptome. Huang et al [ 52 ] reported that in controls and those with recurrent implantation failure, transcriptome profiles of peripheral blood correlated with endometrium for about 10% of genes. While endometrium profiles were distinct between controls and those with recurrent miscarriages or recurrent implantation failure, peripheral blood samples were harder to distinguish between these groups.…”

“…Были изучены транскриптомные профили в крови и образцах эндометрия у женщин с привычным невынашиванием беременности в анамнезе. Однако стремление к неинвазивному методу и исследование только крови не представляется возможным, так как для изучения динамических и быстро меняющихся молекулярных событий в эндометрии понадобится ежедневное транскриптомное исследование крови, которое необходимо для сопоставления изменений, приводящих к недостаточности репродуктивной системы исследуемых женщин [51].…”

“…Earlier workers have shown the use of serum metabonomics with 1 H NMR in women with idiopathic recurrent spontaneous miscarriage during the implantation window [ 27 ] and identified some amino acids associated with it. Efforts have been made on transcriptomic studies to differentiate women with recurrent miscarriages and repeated implantation failures and fertile women to no avail [ 28 ].…”
