Tumor cells are dislodged into the pulmonary vein during lobectomy

Abstract: Objective Intraoperative tumor shedding may facilitate tumor dissemination. Earlier studies defined shed tumor cells primarily by cytomorphological examination, and could not always distinguish normal epithelial cells from tumor cells.
