At the end of the year 2020, social media was in an uproar over the addition of the jihad narrative to the call to prayer, which included an invitation to jihad. Certain elements of a small portion of the Muslim population exhaled the issue. This study aims to examine the position of the call to prayer in Islamic law and the evaluation of Islamic law regarding the call to jihad in the form of the call to prayer. This type of research employs a normative methodology. In the form of the addition of the call to prayer narration, primary data sources were acquired from a variety of social media posts pertaining to challenges requiring jihad. Additional primary sources acquired from books and periodicals. The results of this study indicate that the call to prayer has been a part of Islamic law from the time of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, serving as a reminder and a call to congregational prayer. The call for jihad in the form of the call to prayer is not included as the call to prayer, may not be called as a call to prayer, and is called during prayer times and in a location that can cause people to panic, as the call for jihad in the form of the call to prayer has never been carried out and exemplified by the Messenger of Allah. By adding a narration to the call to prayer, Muslims should not be inflamed by jihad appeals. However, one cannot overlook the phenomena of the call to jihad that has gone viral because to the actions of specific individuals. Obviously, the government and related bureaucracy wish to take resolute measures so as not to disrupt public order as a consequence.

Kota Pontianak merupakan salah satu daerah di Indonesia yang dilewati oleh garis khatulistiwa (ekuator). Sebagai konsekuensi dari letak geografis tersebut, Kota Pontianak akan mengalami peristiwa kulminasi sebanyak 2 kali dalam setahun, yaitu setiap tanggal 21 -23 bulan Maret dan September. Pemerintah Kota Pontianak memanfaatkan fenomena ini dengan melaksanakan berbagai agenda rutin tahunan yang terkait dengan fenomena kulminasi, termasuk di dalamnya mengedukasi masyarakat tentang fenomena dan dampak kulminasi. Edukasi ini dilaksanakan oleh tim dari Jurusan Fisika, FMIPA Untan, bermitra dengan Dinas Kepemudaan, Olahraga, dan Pariwisata (Disporapar) Kota Pontianak. Kegiatan edukasi dilakukan selama 2 hari, yaitu pada tanggal 21 dan 23 September 2022, di sekitar area Tugu Khatulistiwa dan melalui media massa (RRI Pro 1 Pontianak). Masyarakat yang berkunjung ke Tugu Khatulistiwa merupakan pelajar, mahasiswa, guru, pegawai instansi pemerintah, jurnalis, dan masyarakat umum. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan edukasi, sebagian besar masyarakat menyatakan memahami fenomena, penyebab dan kapan terjadinya kulminasi, serta mengetahui dampak kulminasi. Kegiatan edukasi juga dinilai terselenggara dengan baik dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

The inclusion of prayer time is one of the valid requirements of prayer as explained in the Qur'an and hadiths of the Prophet (s). The Fajr prayer schedule issued by Wahdah Islamiyah is interesting to review because it is different from the official prayer schedule issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Republic of Indonesia. This difference can have implications for the validity or absence of Fajr prayers and fasting performed by Muslims based on the schedule. This study aimed to analyze the method of determining the Fajr prayer schedule issued by Wahdah Islamiyah. This research is qualitative descriptive research through library study methods and content analysis. The results showed that Wahdah Islamiyah compiled its Fajr prayer schedule with a high-accuracy contemporary accounting method using VSOP87 algorithm. The location of markaz da'wah in Makassar City was chosen as the coordinate point of the calculation of the position of the sun. Wahdah Islamiyah's Fajr prayer schedule uses a sun altitude of 18 degrees below the horizon by adding a two-minute of iḥtiyāṭ. Based on the calculation, the Fajr prayer schedule of Wahdah Islamiyah has been accurately used in the Makassar City area
