Uniform Flow Around a Circular Cylinder in the Subcritical Range - Using the Self-Induced Angular Moment Method Turbulence Model

Abstract: The uniform flow around a circular cylinder at Reynolds number 1e5 is simulated in a three dimensional domain by means of the newly developed Self-induced angular Moment Method, SMoM, turbulence model. The global force coefficients, Strouhal number, pressure distributions and wall shear stress distributions are compared to experimental findings reported in literature.
