“…Fluorous solvents are a specialty group of solvents used for the isolation of fluorine‐containing compounds from reaction mixtures and sometimes more complex matrices . Applications involving nonfluorinated compounds are uncommon , except after derivatization to incorporate a perfluorocarbon chain into the compound to act as a tag to facilitate its isolation.
