The chapter presents the conditions related to the use of ICT in the didactic process in Polish schools and the phenomenon of e-inclusion. It contains references to the most up-to-date and relevant resources showing how digital media are being used by students and teachers. In this context, the advantages and disadvantages of introducing digital media into Polish education system are discussed. The important part of the text is the presentation of the financial aspects of media pedagogy as well as the challenges concerning the introduction of new didactic methods and means based on the new media.

Media education for elderly. Good practices on of the activities in University of the Th ird Age at Lublin Th e main purpose of the text is to emphasize the need to educate older people. Th e generation of current elderly grew up in the analogue society. Th ere is a need to equal opportunities in an active presence in the digital society. Media competences acquired through education will meet the needs of self-fulfi llment, entertainment or recognition. In the following article, students of the third-century university presented the reasons for enrolling in computer classes and a seminar on media sciences. Th ey also indicated which computer tools they use and how these skills help them to function in a technological society. Th e article presents author's research among a group of students of the University of the Th ird Age in Lublin.
